UPDATE: Moscow court arrests 2 ex-owners of Probusinessbank in absentia

MOSCOW, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has arrested in absentia Sergei Leontyev and Alexander Zheleznyak, former shareholders of Probusinessbank which went bankrupt in October 2015, spokeswoman for the court Yunona Tsaryova told PRIME on Wednesday.
She said that Leontyev and Zheleznyak are suspected of stealing 25 billion rubles from the bank. The bank’s liabilities were estimated at about 128 billion rubles, while assets at 87 billion rubles at the moment of bankruptcy announcement.
The Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow sentenced former Director of the Corporate Finance Department of Probusinessbank Nikolai Alekseyev to four years in prison for stealing 2.4 billion rubles from the bank.
Probusinessbank, the key structure in businessman Anatoly Motylyov’s business, lost its license in mid-August 2015.
